This is a very cute 17\" Schoenhut toddler doll. She came to me in the condition shown, from a doll sale.
Head to toe - her missing paint has been filled and matched and redone. Her whole face has not been repainted, just what was missing, and her mouth paint. Her eyeliner and brows were gone so they were done as well but her eyes are original.
The photo collage shows the process - (above the left eye was very lifted paint that also had to be filled)
Her wig is a newer mohair wig and her dress is an antique pink dress that I belted with lace ribbon that matches that in her hair. On her feet are replacement socks and the most adorable high quality toddler shoes! (She does NOT come with the lamb or other toys shown)
She can hold a nice pose and her body paint does have a lot of places missing paint such as the fingers. I did not touch any of that -I like a doll to keep as much original patina as possible, and therefore when I redid the portions of the face, I did it to make it look like it had a little wear since that is to be expected with any 100 year old doll. :) Her one hand is a little loose but not falling off or anything, just not as tight as the other.
This is a large sized toddler,and a heavy, solid doll. Stamped on the back and the head and someone wrote in pencil \"Schoenhut pouty walker\" I tried to erase it but it is still visible - I don\'t want to remove the original paint by erasing too much. She isn\'t a walker really, just a standard Schoenhut body.
I\'m sure she will bring a great deal of joy to your doll family! She is very happy to be tucked into a corner with a friend like the little lamb shown or to boldly show off how she can still \"stand\" after almost a century!
