Antique Silverware Storage Trunk Chest by 1847 Rogers Bros Holds Service for 12:
$450.00
Early 20th Century Silverware Storage Chest
Brand - 1847 Rogers Bros.
Storage capacity - Capable of holding a service for 12 including serving pieces.
Exterior - Wood covered with a dark green faux alligator vinyl-like fabric.Interior - Covered in teal velvet. Folds out to reveal 3 layers for silverware storage. Totals 4 layers of storage if you include the knife storage on the lid.Hardware - Probably brass plated. Includes carrying handles on the sides, and 3 latches on the front.Age - I\'m estimating to be 1920s based as this belonged to my great-great aunt. Please note - no silverware included. I\'m selling this empty silverware storage chest.Condition issues - This antique is showing it\'s age:- Faux alligator exterior is stained and torn in places, especially on the corners.- Decorative fabric on top is badly torn and faded. It looks like an image of a person with a fishing pole sitting on a park bench.- Hardware is scratched and shows corrosion.- Sorry no key, but the chest opens and closes fine without it.- Top half of right latch on front of chest is missing.- The teal velvet interor is faded almost to a greenish shade near the top hinge, most likely from the glue used to hold it in place.
