Stunning Victorian bustle jacket/coat. So beautiful in person. Images do not justice!
Very ornate with thick ribbon trim accented with unusual French Jet beads. Beads do show chipping and some may need a little wipe down. There is a tear in the front, and could be mended. It is fairly clean and not super frayed. There is another close by around the arm area, that is more frayed. The cuffs are full of fringe as well, and show wear with missing fringe and bead work. There are spots of wear to the material scattered about.
The front closes with large hooks and eyes and most of them are there.The back side has two large bows, and has a shape for a bustle. The inside is amazingly quilted in zig-zags. The lining is worn but still there intact.
This is a pretty small size. Measuring 33\" down center front and about 25\" down the center back seam.
Would make an amazing jacket if could be worn Could used also as a collection piece, display or pattern. This is a thicker piece so measurments may vary in size. Waist is approx 13\" across on the outside. Shoulder seam to seam is 13\". Bust measures around 15\" across the ouside.
