Offered for sale is a Wonderful Antique Victorian Leather Double Thimble Case.

There is room inside for 2 thimbles, or perhaps a thimble and a small spool of thread.

It measures approx. 1 3/4 inches wide by 1 1/8 inches tall by 7/8 inch deep.

There is a fabric lining inside the lid.

No marks to indicate maker or country of origin.

The case is in very good vintage condition. It does have some minor wear consistent with age and gentle use. It appears that at some point the lid (which is attached by 2 small pieces of leather to the body) was reglued. It isn\'t really noticeable until you examine it closely, but it is a little fragile and should be handled with care.

This piece comes with2 thimbles. I believe one is aluminum and the other is silver-plated. One is marked \"9\" and the other is unmarked. Both are in good condition with some wear andlight scratches consistent with age and normal use.The larger one has some light green paint(?) stuckin some of the crevices.
