Folding Pince-Nez Reading Glasses
in Personalized Leather Case,
Probably 1917-1930 🔮
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For sale is a pair of antique folding pince-nez reading glasses 🔮. The magnification power is very slight.According to thepersonalized case, they belonged to Mrs Edwin Gilbert, a great-grandmother on my in-laws\' side. They were bought at a store in Rochester, NY. Research indicates fairly well that the store at the location given on the case opened in 1917. Family lore says it was bought by 1930 at the latest.
I tested the chain for silver content. I’m not 100% confident with the results but I believe the chain is nickel-silver, not silver.
These reading glasses are in very good condition. The lenses have some light scratches and need to be cleaned. The metal seems to be in perfect condition.
If you have any questions, please ask before offerding. I’ll do my best to answer.
I usually send out items within a day of receiving payment but several things could slow me down. Often that involves an address that doesn’t look right. Weekends can be tough on a schedule. (Don’t forget the post office is closed on Sunday.) Being a verified buyer and having a confirmed address can help.
Postage rates have recently gone up, drastically so for international deliveries. Also lately, First Class International shipment to a few European countries and some other countries seems to have suffered and could take as long as five or six weeks for delivery. Please be patient.
PayPal is usually the easiest and fastest method of payment but if you do not want to pay using PayPal, I do not want you to pay using PayPal. Contact me before offerding to make sure I can accept your alternative payment method.
