The Artesania Latina Amsterdam model boat is an accurate reproduction of the real life Tug Boat.

The Amsterdam tugboat was constructed in the shipyards of Johan Alkers of Hamburg (Germany) in 1971, built specially for the task of towing large boats such as oil supertankers. Along with the Amsterdam were constructed three sister ships: Malabar, Tenace and the Centour, which are currently still serving in the French Navy.The Amsterdam Tug Boat is recommended for any wooden model boat enthusiast with an interest in contemporary ships and is looking for a medium build difficulty. It comes complete with laser-cut wooden parts, all fittings and rigging, all deck planking, masts, rigging thread, photo-illustrated instruction sheet and plans.Please note that the hull is made of ABS not wood.When complete this wooden boat kit measures 1060mm in length, 600mm in height and 250mm in width and is suitable for conversion to radio control. Photos are of actual item. Box has some dings on the corners, edges of box worn due to age. All models stored indoors in a heated garage. Completely unpainted and unassembled. Kit will besent to YOUin the same packaging in which it was sent to my uncle a decade agoI am selling this item \"as is\", and am pricing the kit at a very low price. I KNOW my uncle never built this kit or any kit like it. It APPEARS that all of the parts are in order, and I took many photos to show the condition/state of the kit. However, I am no modeler or RC enthusiast, and because many of these wooden parts are not packaged inside plastic, so I cannot be POSITIVE that all of the parts are present and accounted for (and I don\'t want to make the effort to investigate further!). Considering the fact that the kit remains in its original shipping packaging, apparently untouched, my guess is that it is complete----but that is for YOU to consider and decide as you wish after viewing the photographs..

It\'s time to start selling the models again! Tax season is coming up, and mom has bills to pay!

As you can see by looking at my profile, I have been selling the models and figurines that were left to our family after the passing of my uncle, who was a man obsessed with collecting and constructing models and miniatures. A great many of his boxes were opened only once for inspection. He passed due to cancer, leaving all of these possessions to my mother. I sell them, she pays her yearly property taxes.
