Up for sale is a RAREArtist Proof by the famed frontier and wildlife artist Dan “Buffler” Brewer,known as “the pioneer of the pen”. Thetitle for this work of art is “Wing of the Hawk”. This is one of a very small edition,numbering only 25. Signed and comes witha Certificate of Authenticity.
About the artist. As a youth growing up in Fort Worth, Texas,Dan won awards and ribbons with his drawings.At the age of 14, he won a nationwide scholarship the The ArtInstruction School, for famous artists.Such names as Norman Fockwell and J.P. Wildering came from this school.
Not only has Danreceived national acclaim, but his artwork has graced the homes in many cornersof the world. Famous people known tohave some of his artwork are Margaret Thatcher and George Montgomery. He has been compared to the likeness ofRemington and the reality of Rockwell.Seldom do you see the combination of realism and authenticity in such adifficult media to attain as pen and ink, as there is no margin for error.
Buffler, as Dan’smountain man friends call him, is trying like Remington to keep a part of ourhistory close to us. For sad as it mayseem, we will never again see it with the modern age of the iron horse andsteel skyscrapers upon us.
