Magnificent authentic Native American Old Style Blackfoot Deerskin War Shirt

The Beadwork is excellent and very intricate made of tiny glass beadsno loose threads or missing beads.
The deer skin was dyed with brown-reddish Earth Colour in different shades
Front and Back feature horse hair tassels attached with old red & white inside crow beads.A huge handbeaded Rosette decorates the Front. In the Center it has coup feathers in cones with red & black horsehair and a hawkbellThe arms are adorned with Bluebead work and cross-like four Wind symbols with hawkbellsandturkey feathersin the middle, which are fashioned to represent the amount of coups this warrior counted.One of the greatest honors bestowed upon a warrior was called a \'coup\'. This achievement meant that the brave had got close enough to his enemy to touch him and then return to safety.
The Back has 2 of the four wind symbols each withan intricately beaded medicine bundle more coup feathers and red horsehair tassels.
Both front and back have four intricate beadwork triangles in glassbeads and with a hawkbell on each as well as a more beadwork strips descending down the armpit seam fringed with black horsehair and cones.The Neck line is edged with red felt and front and back have a flap with a red felt stitched with white glassbeads decoration and both are edged in blue glass beads.There are also decorations of holes burned into the leather as a symbol of the connection between the real and the dream world.
