1958 Rickenbacker 325 One of the rarest electric guitars in the world! The exact year, make and model of John Lennon’s 1st Rickenbacker as used on The Beatle’s first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. This is a very rare two control model probably made in the same batch as John’s. There were only 28 made that year !! This guitar’s serial number is 10 away from John’s V81! The Rick 325 has a 2” deep body and is a 3 toaster top pickup model with the original Rickenbacker Kaufman Vibrola and Grover Sta-tite Tuners. The TRC was replaced with a Rickenbacker factory gold replacement. A pot and resistor were replaced but the originals are still in the case. The guitar has been refinished in Black (as was Lennon’s) by highly respected former Rickenbacker employee and luthier Dale Fortune. Nice OHSC is included. I will also include the ultra-rare original 1958 Rickenbacker brochure and a full box of vintage, era correct Rickenbacker strings.
1963 Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass This gorgeous Beatle Bass is probably one of the cleanest and most original 63’s around! It has very slight player wear and less than normal lacquer checking. 1963 pot codes of 393 with a body stamp of April 1962. The aged color of this natural brown sunburst is very close to Paul McCartney’s Hofner bass that he still owns and uses to this date! A hard shell case is included.
1962 Gretsch 6112 Country Gentleman All original and All Harrison Appointments! This is the famous dual flip-up mute model Gretsch similar to that which George Harrison used on the Ed Sullivan show. It has gold hardware, dual Filtertron pickups, and Grover Imperial stair-step tuners. The guitar comes with it’s original diaper to protect it from buckle rash. I will include the original strap and a full set of period correct Gretsch strings still in their case. It is in excellent condition (near mint) and has the dark flamey top similar to George’s. It is all original and comes with a phenomenally clean OHSC.
1959 Gibson J160E Acoustic This is a fantastic example of the famous Gibson J160E acoustic guitar that George Harrison and John Lennon used numerous times on their early 60’s recordings! It has the original single line Kluson tuners with early white acrylic saddle found on the early model Gibson’s. Mahogany back and sides with single coil adjustable pole pickup. Clear/Gold Bonnet knobs. The guitar itself is in excellent condition but for a few minor dings (not through finish). It comes with a very clean and original hard shell brown case indicative of the 1959 Gibson era! This is the same make and model Gibson you hear on Norwegian Wood, A Day in the Life, This Boy, If I Fell, Twist and Shout, She Loves You and many, many more!
1987 Rickenbacker 360/12V64 Fireglo double bound 12 string electric guitar This is an exceptional sounding and cosmetically excellent Harrison style 12 string electric. This particular early era reissue is quite rare and difficult to find in this type of condition. This model 360/12 is a gorgeous fireglo color with double bound binding and full mother of pearl fretboard inlays. It comes with its’ OHSC in very nice condition and an original B&W photo of George playing his Rick 12 string.
Late 60’s Vox AC30 Top Boost Amplifier This is an exceptionally clean and original grey panel Vox AC30 amp with the built-in Top Boost feature made so famous by early British Invasion bands and used in many bands, songs and studios today! It\'s cabinet includes two 12” Celestian Bulldog speakers, original vibrato foot pedal, Hadden transformers and top boost emblem on original grill cloth! Side handles are original English Vox hard rubber. All plastic vents and corners are in tact. It even comes with the Vox chrome stand. This is a great tone monster in phenomenal electronic and cosmetic condition!1964 Vox T60 Bass Amplifier This is a very rare and fantastic late 1964 example of the famous piggyback Vox bass amplifier that Paul McCartney used in the early days of his career. It is a one channel, four jack model. It comes with one 15” and one 12” Celestion speakers. These are extremely hard to find today and especially in the excellent condition this amplifier is in. No tears or scuffs in the tolex or grill cloth.
