This week I am listing three Schoenhut dolls from mycollection. I have run out of space, so these three fabulous dolls need to find new homes.
Offered for a very limited time (1924-1928 only), and very hard to find, this is a 17 inch strung Schoenhut 317, Miss Dolly with moving eyes. She has a beautiful dolly face, brown decal eyes that sleep, and I believe she has heroriginal facepaint. She has the traditional Schoenhut body without the spring joints. Her body is in excellent condition but thestringingis loose, which makes her a bit floppy. She wears what I believe is her original brown bobbed wig. Her correct patent mark is under her wig on the back of her head. Information on the 317 can be found on pages 120-121 of Carol Corson\'s Schoenhut Dolls: A Collector\'s Encyclopedia.
She has been redressed appropriately in a cotton knit union suit, muslin slip, pretty cotton dress, and cotton stockings. Her replacement shoes do have grommets in the soles, although the strung dolls did not have holes for shoes intheirfeet (this doll appears to have plugs in the holes, one of which has fallen out.)
