◄█This listing is for one Pioneer SX-780 Stereo Receiver with Operating Instructions, Adjustments Page, andSchematicsdiagrams. This is a beautiful vintage piece, manufactured from 1978 to 1980 in Japan and then South Korea and retailing for $399 - $325 ($1,400 to $900 adjusted for inflation). This is the Japanese-built model and it is in exceptional functional and aesthetic condition.This is a truly beautiful piece and the fit & finish is exceptional.It is designed for exceptional AM/FM stereo reception and use with tape player, cassette player, and turntable/record player components. It features a walnut wood-grain (vinyl laminated over fiber board) case with a brushed aluminum face. The top and bottom of the unit are amply (no pun intended) ventilated with black steel panels. The large front bezel is perfectly clear and bulb lit, creating a soft yellow glow over the meters and dial while in use. All the nobs and switches are machined, polished aluminum and their facets and corners reflect light beautifully. The visible wear is very minor but I will mention specifics anyway: There are two tiny dings and a slight rub on the top. outside edge/corner of unit\'s aluminum face. Also, the volume knob as a very light, shallow scratch on its face. The cabinet is in beautiful condition with a tiny mar on the top, outside edge of the right side and a tiny mar on the bottom, outside edge of the left side. There are a few faint scuffs in the paint on the underside of the unit. This unit has been fully tested and functions flawlessly. It is exceptionally clean and well cared for with no other notable wear, damage, rust, odor, etc. whatsoever. The sticker on the back of the unit notes sale or service on 8/4/1980.
