This is an incredible hand carved Black Forest mirror...one-of-kind piece of art.
These beautiful, completely hand carved, Black Forest Mirrors are each original works of art. The mirror frame is made from solid chestnut and the overall size is 40\" x 30\" x 2 1/2\". And weighs almost 40 pounds.
The mirror depicts scenes which are common within the Black forest. At the very top of the mirror is a wild boar surrounded by 2 hounds. The sides depict 2 Cappercaille (a favorite European game bird) and at the bottom 2 roaring stags stand above 2 carved deer antlers .
