A very nice Ne Plus Ultra 3-star cornet, this is the later, post 1916 version with fixed lead-pipe, and in modern Low Pitch. The horn has a wonderful, modern large bore, measuring .472\" at the second valve.
The instrument is perfectly playable, with a great, dark and focused sound. Intonation is superb, and valves are smooth and supple, with quite good compression.
My technician has removed some dents, and the horn is ready to play and enjoy.
