Up for sale is an excellent condition nicely Custom Painted KEY IMPORTS DENVER & RIO GRANDE WESTERN 2-8-2 #1201 K-59 CLASS LOCOMOTIVE AND DOGHOUSE TENDER IN HO SCALE. This version is the 1977 run manufactured by SAMHONGSA of South Korea. This is a nicely custom detailed model which features an open-frame motor. It is jeweled but not lighted. The paint looks excellent showing only very minor evidence of handling and display. The model was used as a display piece only. The back-head detail on the locomotive looks good and the Tender is nicely decorated as well. It was given a quick track test where it ran perfectly (very smooth and quiet) at all speeds in forward and reverse, surprisingly quiet for an open frame motor. On inspection, all detail pieces were found to be firmly in place. Both the back of the tender and the front of the locomotive are coupled. Comes with the original box which is in good shape.
