Prototype Info.

This sale is for a Key Imports New Haven Class J1 2-8-2 Mikado.Alco of Schenectady NY built 25 class J1 2-8-2 for the New Haven in 1916. These are basically the same size as light USRAs but very different in details. The New Haven used these engines till the end of steam. One of these was saved in snow melting service but eventually was scrapped. The last J-1 was the last steam engine in use on the NH in 1956. Unfortunately none were saved

Model Info:

The model dates to around 1980 and was built by Samhongsa in Korea for Key Imports.

Model Condition:

This model was custom painted and is a fair job. Not sure who did the work butsit is NOT up to my quality level.

I lubed the model and tested it. It runs fine.

This is a hard-to-find model and a must for you New Haven Box and box and packing are included.
