This is an amazing representation of Victorian ingenuity and engineering at its finest.
Offered here is an 1880\'s ex. Museum steam engine with vertical and horizontal acting cylinders with valves controlled by an unusual eccentric drive and linkages. The detail is extraordinary showing amazing craftsmanship of the time. The metal exhibits a wonderful patina.
I acquired this from a 2004 sale of the Bordeaux Museum in France (see photo from catalog) and have enjoyed it in my office for years and have decided to let some else have this wonderful piece.
For the discerning collector seeking the best of the best, this is an authentic blue ribbon addition to any collection.
