Chair Cane Caning Seat Weaving Repair Replacement Kit 18 X 22 For Sale
Pressed Cane Chair Seat Replacement Kit
This listing is for a kit to replace a "pressed cane / cane webbing" seat or back. Your chair must have a groove or channel for the cane to fit into - not drilled holes. If the old weaving is still intact, it should look like the 2nd photo, with a smooth bead of spline around the outside edge of the cane. If the weaving is gone, the 3rd photo will show an example of the groove that should be present.
Everything you need to replace your seat is included with the exception of a feweveryday household items such as glue, a straight slot screwdriver and a small hammer. The kit includes 1 piece of fresh, new18" x 22"cane (1/2" open which is the most common and used size), 3 wood wedges, 2 sizes of spline (4.25 mm & 6.00mm) and complete instructions. My phone and direct email address are included in case you have any questions. I have been caning chairs for over 35 years andwill gladly help you in anyway I can. When you measure your seat, please allow at least 1/2" excess of cane on all 4 sides of the seat. If you need cane that would be longer than 22" please contact mefor a quote.
Again, this kit is for a chair that has a groove - please double check before you commit to buy.
