Classic Chelsea Mariner “Yacht Wheel” Ships Clock

Serial Number 748271

Manufactured 1970 - 1974

This 3 3/4” Mariner is the only Mariner model to use the arrow point hands vs larger Mariners that have the moon hands. Clock height is approximately 10 1/2” to tip of highest handle &

8 1/2” handle to handle across the face.

Wooden Base is approximately 4 1/4” x 8 5/8”.

All of the brass & bronzed base are in good vintage condition. The wood base is also in good vintage condition. The clock bell strikes both beautifully & accurately. The clock keeps EXCELLENT time.

The key is a replacement & is marked “Chelsea”.

This Chelsea Clock was a presentation gift to a John I. Travis, Farrell Lines, 1945-1970. The back of the ships wheel (ring) is engraved with this information & is NOT visible as currently pictured. If viewing the presentation engraving information is desired, the wheel can easily be reversed. Pictures of the engraving are visible in the listing photographs.

Due to the presentation year of 1970this clock was most

likely manufactured in that year.
