This pretty piece of finery is fashioned from vintage straw and is made to fit a bebe with a head circumference of about 7-8\". I\'ve shown it on a number of different dolls, two of which have 8\" head circumferences. The larger doll, the French Fashion, has a 12\" head circumference, I\'ve shown it on her just for fun. The exterior of the bonnet features a big gorgeous ivory bow and another silk ribbon encircling the crown that is aqua and ivory plaid. The front of the bonnet features another large bow made from this same aqua and ivory plaid silk! The interior of the bonnet is lined with gathered antique lace and silk. Your doll will look wonderful wearing this bonnet! The interior of the bonnet bears a Paris tag and my Cherie\'s Petite Boutique label. With the high cost of original antique bonnets, this is the next best thing; a newly created bonnet of all vintage or antique materials! This bonnet truly does look old, because all the materials used are all old. As with an antique doll bonnet, this bonnet will be wrapped very carefully for shipping and should be handled delicately by its new owner. I like to use vintage or antique materials when I make my doll hats & accessories. If not, I use items that were available at the time; cotton, silk, straw, leather. No polyester or plastic! All of my items are made by hand, with special attention to detail. Please keep in mind that vintage/antique materials may show some slight age or wear, but I feel this just adds to the charm of the item.
