Cambridge Rose Point Etch Glass Bud Vase
10 1/2-inches

The glass bud vase is in fairly good vintage/used condition. Please read the full description and view the photos carefully--the vase has a few issues. Please keep in mind that I do not accept returns. I am selling this vase \"AS IS\". The price is set to reflect its condition.

The vase has some scratches on its base/foot top side. Two small areas of scratch clusters are more noticeable. One cluster area near the base/ foot rim is about 1/4 by 1/30-inch (about 9 tiny scratches in a row), and the other cluster area is nearer to the base center and measures about 1/8 by 1/16-inch (about 5 tiny scratches). There are two rings of slightly white/hazy water stains at the bottom of the vase interior. When the vase is filled with water, the haze does not show. When the vase is dry, the haze shows. The first ring starts about 1/2-inch down from the etching and is about 1/2-inchwide. The second ring begins 1/2-inch below the bottom of the first ring and is about 3/8-inch wide.

The bud vase has original to manufacture air bubbles and swirls in the glass. One bubble is in the foot/base and is noticeable (it measures about 1/8 by 1/8-inch). There are two small original to manufacture spots about 1/8-inch down from the top rim. One is probably a tiny (1/30 by 1/30-inch) spot of misplaced etch. The other is a 1/8-inch long thin line which looks to be to be original to manufacture, but might possibly be a tiny scratch.

My various research books on American glass refer to this bud vase as being 10 inches tall. I think they measure the bowl/hollow part only. When the base is included, the vase stands 10 1/2 inches tall. Its base/foot measures slightly over 2 3/4-inches across. The top opening measures 1 1/2-inches across.

According to Gene Florence (Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era- 6th edition), Cherokee Rose was manufactured by the Tiffin Glass Company in the 1940\'s and 50\'s.
