This lovely Civil War Era dress is made from a tan silk taffeta. The bodice hahs ivory silk covered buttons down the front and ivory tulle around the neckline. The bodice has bones in the seams and rope cording trin around the dropped armhole seams, trimming the lower sleeves and around the bottom. The front and back goes to deep points, it\'s lined in cotton, the inside edge of the sleeves have a little box pleated ruffle. The underarms have some stains, one has a little damage under the arm, the other side is very, very minor damage, rope trim is loose a few inches on the bottom edge. It measures 32 1/2 inches around the bust, waist is 22, shoulder to center front point is 19 inches. The skirt is double box pleated to a cotton waistband, it hooks in front, lined with a glazed cotton and fall to a train in back. It\'s 22 inches around the waist and is 41 inches long in front.
