Colonial Paper, Philadelphia Half Dollar Currency-V.Fine:
$250.00

This Colonial paper half dollar was issued in Pennsylvania in 1776. It is uncancelled and all lettering is clear- I would consider it at least Very Fine. There are no tears or stains and only a slight fold. It is signed by a Mr Haa. Howell, and printed by Hall and Sellers. Thiscurrency is amate to the Fugio Cent, having the sundial on the obverse. The 13 colonies on the reverse are represented by the chain of 13 links. This is quite a piece of American history and was likely issued to finance the Revolution.

Collectors of Pennsylvania Colonial find the half dollar to be particularly elusive. I have owned this bill for over 40 years, and it has been protected by a plastic sleeve and untouched for many years. Postage will be insured in the US at $3.00. This bill should be professionally graded which would greatly increase its value.
