This Franklin Mine copper ingot is one recovered from the ship wreck Pewabic which went down in Lake Huron in 1865. The Pewabic was carrying a load of copper from the Franklin, Pewabic,Quincy and Hancock mines in Michigan\'s Copper Country.

The center mark is the mark of the Lake Superior Transit Company.

Weight is just over 13 pounds.

Ingot will be shipped well packed and properly insured.

I\'m trying this reverse format for selling. Something different. If the ingot doesn\'t sell with this format I may just hang on to it as I do like the nautical and mining aspect of the item as a collectible.
