Awesome old CORNER TANG ARROWHEAD! This one hails from Texas.About 5\" long.

Hand chipped from stone.Authentic Native American or First Nations artifact. An OUTSTANDING, rare find acquired from an estate. Would look nice in its ownshadowbox frame or incorporated into a Native American themed display.

P.S. This is the ONLY corner tang that I have in my personal collection. The backstory -- of how I acquired it -- is as interesting as the piece itself. I was searching high and low for one of these corner tangs for quite some time & I found it, oddly enough, in the most unlikely place. A man had collected a small set of coins, mostly silver dollars, Indian head pennies, Buffalo nickels and the like. I should list a few of the coins as well this month. But tucked inside all the coins, an old Native American Indian themed postcard from early 1900s, mixed in with a few ancient stone beads (another cool find I\'ll list), was THIS. Now this piece alone is worth somewhere between $100 - $300, which is what I paid for the whole lot. What I wanted most were the rare stone beads, and this extraordinarily large & rare corner tang. Big enough to take downa Bison in Texas, which in the days of the Wild Wild West, was just about how it went. As you can imagine, this Corner Tang was the crown jewel of the collection, I just knew the second that I saw it that I was going for the whole lot just to get this piece from his estate. The former collectorhad attempted to mount it, the old glue was yellow & brittle, I had to soak it in water to remove the glue (which is why it\'s pretty darn clean). I used a toothbrush (a little tool I found useful from my early 1970\'s stint doing some archeology work for the Kumeyay tribe\'s museum in San Diego), to clean it gently. And here is is, my awesome, huge corner tang. So to an appreciative collector please, I seriously doubt I\'ll find another one of these in my lifetime, I was elated enough just to find this one after years of searching. I\'m just grateful I knew what it was when I saw it!).
