Leather strips secure them across the top & bottom of the steel frame.This is NOT Faux leather & cowhide. It is the REAL DEAL. VERY supple & nicely tanned so that it will STAY this way for a lifetime.

And BECAUSE they\'re handmade from REAL cowhide and leather there will be slight puckers to the leather where it\'s been stretched over the steel frame. Just little things you find when working with REAL leather.
