Description

This is a sweet old teddy bear that came from a private collection

No tag or label other than the owner\'s tag indicating he was purchased at the St. Paul Emporium in 1940 and his name is \"Bow\" (The Emporium was a downtown St. Paul department store that closed in 1968)

Bow (Beau) measures 16\"-17\" tall and is made of dark cinnamon brown mohair, which is quite worn, and is fully jointed at the head, arms and legs, with cardboard discs inside the joints

He has amber eyes and a stitched nose, with some of the floss missing from his nose and none left on his mouth, if there was any

His ears very large and almost clown-like once you spread them out and the tops of the ears sit right along the seam of his head; his snout is very long and pointy, his arms are very long with curved paws, and his pawpads were velveteen, but they are very worn too

I\'m not sure what he\'s stuffed with, but he feels soft and does not crunch when squeezed

This is a very well loved old bear, sweet and endearing, and he\'d fit in nicely among your other bears

He seems very shy and docile at first, but definitely has a mischievious expression in his eyes when he looks up at you!

The bear is clean, odor-free and comes from a smoke-free home
