They have an opening on the back with three buttons.

The whole pillow sham measures 35\" x 34\" and the pillow area measures about 31 1/4\" x 28 3/4\"

Both pillow cases have a couple tiny repairs and seam openings on the edge of the inside border, both also have a couple of small spots, one has a tiny nick on the edge of the back opening and a teeny tear on the edge of the border. (See photos.)
