I may also add that this EAPG CLEAR with RUBY STAIN \"LOOP & BLOCK\" ROUND COVERED BUTTER DISH is an early vintage antique glass butter dish that has been used and displayed over many years and is still a very beautiful covered butter dish; This \"Loop & Block\" true ruby stained covered butter dish, top & bottom is ruby stained and is in fair condition, the butter base ring where the dome lid fits over has a small chip of missing glass, other than that there are no cracks, scratches, and no staining, the ruby condition itself is in super condition having no scratches in the ruby and hardly no white specks showing in the ruby as you can see in the photos; the butter dish is the most wanted part of any (4) piece table set; ( I hate selling damaged merchandise, but some times we have to live with things the way we find them due to the difficulty of the pattern, I don\'t have enough time in my life to find a perfect base, but I sure am glad to own this very difficult to find true ruby stained top and base in this \"Loop & Block\" pattern), I guess the brat kid banged the lid on the bottom of this difficult to find butter dish; This popular and very highly collected pattern can be seen in one of my many reference materials, one by \"William Heacock\" who show and talk about this highly collected pattern in the so called \"ruby stain bible\", the \"Victorian Colored Pattern Glass book #7 \"Ruby Stained Glass from A-Z\" on pages #143 - #144; Numerous photos were taken at many different angles with flash and in natural sunlight hopeing to answer any and all questions to show pattern, condition, ruby stain condition & size, but if need be, you can E-mail me, or you can see me on my web page at terrymackeyantiques.com.
