Up for sale is a VERY hard to find early 20th century set of Canton Enamel over copper, Wireless Cloisonne large vases. They were beautifully hand painted with 6 panels separated by copper trim & different scenes on each panel of both vases This set is probably from 1900-1920, & is in great vintage condition. These gorgeous vases stand 13 inches tall & are 6 inches across at their widest point. The tops are 4 inches across, & the bases are nearly 3 1/2 inches across at the base. The exposed aged copper\'s patina is age appropriate, with no unsightly discoloration. The white in the enamel is bright, crisp, & clean, with NO yellowing. The other colors are likewise bright, crisp & clean. This set looks like it was made yesterday, even though it is a century old! There is only 1 small area on one vase, that shows any signs of damage. This area is in the opening of the vase, at the top, see last 2 pictures for a better description. This small area is really not noticeable & would be a very simple repair. I thought about doing the repair when I purchased them, but I decided to leave it alone as it does not detract from the vases beauty. It also is great for people who know nothing about canton enamel, as the small piece of exposed copper is great for demonstration purposes. These large old Cantonese Enamel vases are getting hard to find in any condition, & even harder in a set in this beautifully preserved condition. PS, the yellow enamel is a little lighter hue than the pictures show.Please view all 12 pictures for a better description.
