Great1880s finely crafted blacksmith-made miners candlestick, with brass and nickel match-safe handleand brass thumb-piece. 11 3/8 inches long with a 4 inch tall hook. Match-safe can be removed from the candle holder and spike, or the whole piece can be dis-assembled for packing. Similar to the later 1905 Lindahl patent match-safe stick but withmuch strongerconstructionand design, this one of a kindbeauty hasan intricate connecting screw/bolt combination that I have never seen before.
