Fantastic Acoma Pueblo American Indian Pottery Vase / Jar

Presented is a wonderful American Indian pottery vase or jar. We strongly believe this to be an Acoma Pueblo piece. The form and decoration are very traditional, in a style that has not changed much in centuries, so it is difficult to say with certainty the age of the vase, but feel that it could easily be hundreds of years old. The vase is buff pottery with stylized, geometric decoration in black and white which is quite striking.

The vase is in good overall condition. There is a crack extending from the rim to about the middle of the vase, visible in the second to last photo, but the crack itself is quite old and not a recent damage. There is some crazing to the pottery, and some age related discoloration. There are no chips, no other cracks, and no repairs.
