Up for sale is an extremely nice, pre-war Favilla Ukulele. It is in excellent condition, but has a few expected nicks, scratches and scuffs in places. Most are minor. There is one crack on the face of the instrument, about 6" long (from the bridge to the base of the ukulele), but it has been repaired and has long been stable (see the photos). It is shallow and does not appear to go through the wood. The body and bridge are constructed of solid mahogany, with a rosewood fretboard and saddle and ebony nut. The fret markers appear to be made from a cream celluloid. It also has a very simple rosette, with only a plain, single-line pattern. The mahogany body is thin, with a nice satin finish (similar to aMartin), which creates a nice smooth sound. This is a simple, well made instrument, which has its own warmth - and it feels good in the hands. It also has a fine neck, that again, is very much like a Martin. It feels comfortable, with a gentle "D" shape. It also adds a sweet, warm, bell-like addition to the tone. This tends to make it quite reminiscent of the stumming sounds from the 1920s and 1930s. It also tends to lend itself to fine fingerpicking styles. If you have never had the experience of owning or playing a fine, vintage Favilla, then you are missing something special. 3. PAYMENT
1. Our preferred method of payment is PayPal. 2. Payment is expected within 3 days from the end of the sale. If you can not pay within that time, please contact us for arrangements. If we are not contacted by the third day, an "unpaid item" case will be initiated.
3. Residents of Virginia will be charged sales tax of 5.3% as required by law.
4. SHIPPING 1. Please see the " Shipping and payments" tab that is in every listing for the shipping services available and cost. 2. If a shipping service is not shown to your location please contact us for an estimate. 3. When payment is made with PayPal, we will only ship to the PayPal address. This is due to the buyer protection and PayPal seller protection policies.
4. FedEx and UPS cannot ship to Post Office Boxes. If you require shipping to a P O Box, choose USPS shipping and if USPS is not shown as an option, please contact us before offerding.
4.1 International 1. Duty, customs fees, tariffs, taxes, etc. - The item value used on the customs declaration form will be the amount you paid not including shipping cost. We will not use a false or devalued amount on customs declaration forms. We will not indicate your purchase is a "gift." Duty, customs fees, tariffs, taxes, etc. are not included in the payment made to us; these are all the responsibility of the buyer to pay. The invoice you receive is automatically generated by , based on the shipping costs as computed by the shipper. 5. RETURNS 1. Items that are not as described may be returned within 14 days of receiving the item. A 20% restocking fee will be charged for any item returned for any other reason.
