GREAT Nib! Very fine point with excellent Iridium tipping, Great Nib :-) , Sturdy metal lever box and filling mechanism , lever has aged patina, Clear Imprint, There is some red in the model number on the end of the pen. The pen has a brand new quality ink sac.

this is Crack free pen, no personalization. There is fade to a dark brown, more faded in some areas than others. Cap threads on well & posts perfectly, There IS a wear spot near the 1899 date as shown , chasing is crisp on the cap, more worn on the body , The cap lip is perfect

VERY NICE IDEAL #2 NIB, 14K perfect Very Fine point Nib with VERY good iridium, And Nice Flex also, (NOT at all a wet noodle) you will still have control for every day writing, goes from a fine point to a wide line as shown with medium pressure, it will provide excellent line variation & expression, Very nice shading also nicely formed on the underside also & is a pleasure to write with. Pen is ready for fine point note taking. Art/drawing or expressive letter writing.

The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to hep you gauge the line variation.

The pen is approx 4 & 5/16\" capped, and 5 & 1/2\" posted.
