You are offerding on an early GPW on a Willys frame. The jeep came from California so the frame is extremely rust free and straight. Even the original front gussets are still in place. With the exception of a few spots here and there the tub is solid. It appears that the jeep had never been restored however, it has been repainted a few times. It does have the correct early fender black out light assembly. All three seats are original including the correct rear seat without the tire pump brackets. Although I did not find any hood numbers, I believe it\'s the original hood since it has no grease gun bracket and no lube chart bracket. Almost all the bolts are F marked. According to my research the tub is original for that low serial number due to the fact that the inside of the glove box is flat with no ribs. The spare tire carrier is also the correct three bolt type. She comes with all five original combat wheels. The engine compartment is very complete with the correct sparton horn, fuel filter, GPW radiator etc. although not matching numbers, the engine is a GPW engine and turns freely. The tranny is also the correct early type. The body is solid enough to just repaint the jeep, rebuild the drive train and enjoy as is. This is a great restoration project. Please do your research and ask all questions before offerding. I also recommend that all interested parties come see the vehicle to make sure it is what he or she is looking for.
