The front of the stein has a regal cypher commemorating a special date in German military history. The date on the top is June 9th 1836, on the bottom June 9th 1886. A 50 year commemorative for some event. The stein is surmounted by an impressive German pickelhaube. The strap is tight to the handle with no movement. The thumb lift is a Prussian Eagle.
