Old Soldier

A wonderful old wooden walking stick with carved head of a man as the top knob. He is a remarkable character; bearded, with wild andlifelike glass eyes. He wears a hat with a feather in it, which I think is aConfederate soldier slouch hat. The carving is very detailed and lifelike, and the effect of the glass eyes is amazing. The knob and stick look to be a different type of wood. No makers marks or any indication of where or when it was made, but what agreat piece for the collector!

A couple of tiny chips around edge of hat brim, some minor dings, scuffs, scratches. Other minor wear near bottom and to metal tip.
