A cheaper postage option will be available should the whistle finish below £50.00Today Iam offering this very collectibleand sought after Officer\'s trench warfare whistle dated 1913 made just prior to the outset of WW1 in 1914 but more than likely to have been used throughout the campaign, these whistles were used to command their men \"to go over the top\", measures 82mm in length. The whistle is offered in good solid condition albeit there is some dark greenish marks around both windows (verdigris) which could have been as a result of lying in water, possibly in a trench, it also bears the all important War Department broad arrow mark. A collectible item 101 years old.A wonderful opportunity to purchase this piece of British military memorabilia.
