Hartland Blue & Silver Plastic Roy Rogers Trigger Horse Saddle:
HARTLAND ROY ROGERS SADDLES
This is an offering of authentic PLASTIC (not resin copies!) replacement parts for Hartland Horse and Rider sets made using the original Hartland molds from the '50s. This is the plastic blue and silver saddle that was originally used with the Roy Rogers and Trigger Hartland figures. They were designed for use with the standing/walking versions of Trigger, and will also fit rearing Trigger although must be held in place with museum putty or the like.
All are painted blue on the underside, and we recommend that you put a square of waxed paper, feltor some other type of barrier between the saddle and your horse model to prevent paint transfer. These saddles will fit the standard 8" horses made for Hartland figures. These saddles are molded in plastic and can sometimes flare out a little at the stirrups. You might have to gently warm and reform them to fit your horse.
Roy Rogers, was a singer and cowboy actor. He and his wife Dale Evans, his golden palomino Trigger, and his German shepherd, Bullet, were featured in over one hundred movies and The Roy Rogers Show. The show ran on radio for nine years before moving to television from 1951 through 1957. His productions usually featured two sidekicks, Pat Brady, (who drove a jeep called "Nellybelle"), and the crotchety Gabby Hayes. Roy's nickname was "King of the Cowboys". Dale's nickname was "Queen of the West." For many Americans (and non-Americans), he was the embodiment of the all-American hero.
Hartland Plastics made the original Roy Rogers set in the 1950's. Now you can have a saddle to go with that vintage set you still have from your childhood! If you don't have your old set, look under our other sales for the NEW Roy Rogers and Dale Evans sets by Hartland Horses!
Thanks and happy offerding!
