HO Brass Santa Fe 3400 Class 4-6-2 as Rebuilt in 1941 w/Boxpox Disc Drivers, Elesco Feedwater Heater,Updated Tender. Loco Produced by Samhongsa of Korea for Key Model Imports in 1978, Tender produced in Japan for Pacific Fast Mail in 1970\'s.

It was not uncommon for most American railroads to rebuild their equipment over the course of their service life, many times radically changing the appearance of the locomotive. This all-brass \'Pacific\' is a good example. A previous owner of the modelhas exchanged the original 20,000 gal tender representing the one which Baldwin supplied with this 1921 4-6-2 with a version that Santa Fe coupled to the locos after a 1941 rebuild.

The loco has not been modified. Key imported it as the 1941 version with its distinctive \'boxpoks\' disc drivers and Elesco feedwater heater. This class was generally assigned to the flatlands of the Midwest. Two examples have been saved; #3424 on display in Kinsley, Kansas and #3415 in Abilene, KS.

These two brass pieces -- loco and tenderhave been combined for many years. Neither shows more than modest wheel wear. There are a fewplaces on tender and loco where very mild tarnish is visible.The locomotive test runs very smoothly. The original box from Key Imports is provided. The interior packing material has been replaced.
