This lot contains a brass HOn3 K-36 custom painted and lettered as #487 which currently operates on the Cumbres & Toltec. This engine is from my personal collection and was originally set up for DCC operation with a tsunami decoder. It was one of the best running models I had. The plow is a Hallmark models plow that was soldered to the loco with the original deck removed. The lights were LED and were operational with DCC but are currently not connected but they should work if you use this with a DCC decoder. There were a number of custom modifications done to the loco. There are wipers installed on the tender trucks for both right and left rail pickup. This will also be a plus if you decide to install a decoder. A number of holes were drilled for running wires, one through the coal well, one through the floor of the tender, for running wires to the lights etc... The cam is still installed on the front driver but the wiper has been removed. I kept the tsunami for my conversion to Sn3. This loco will run just fine \"as it is\" with regular DC operation. You might want to add some weight to the tender as the original weight was removed to make room for the decoder. If you want this loco to convert to DCC, much of the work has been done and you should have little trouble with the process.
