HAND PAINTED Civil War Toy Soldiers Union 114th Pennsylvania, Collis Zouaves:
$34.99

You are offerding on SIX of my hand painted 54mm Civil War Union 114th Pennsylvania Regiment, the famous Collis Zouaves, during their heroic stand on Day 2 at Gettysburg in 1863! This Civil War Volunteer Regiment, was known for it\'s courage under fire, and were awarded the duty as the Headquarters Guard unit while General McClellan led the Army of the Potomac. This duty ended up allowing them to be photographed quite frequently by visiting photographers and newsmen, and eventually this kept the Zouave existence in effect. Long after the War ended, the popular uniforms based on the French Army in Algeria, went out of common knowledge, and only the photographs of this particular unit forced historians to research the actual existence of the Zouave fad during the Civil War!
The figures I used in this vignette are a new manufacturer to the 54mm toy soldier field, Expeditionary Forcefigures, and include six differently posed figures: and these figures are unusual in that they need assembly to be posed, coming with arms, heads and weapons loose, and allow several unique poses to be made. So I\'ve made one customized figure, the standing firing pose, and five relatively \"stock\" figures, the officer with his sword in one hand and waving the Zouaves forward with the other, the bugler with a rifle in his other arm, and three variously posed advancing riflemen!
The figures come dressed in their specially colored Zouave uniforms, wearing their customary Union blue on their Zouave style jackets, trimmed in bright blue accents and yellow piping, red trousers, white gaitors, and red caps with white trim! The officer wears a special Zouave style red kepi and shares the colors with the regular troops, with their weapons and equipment accurately depicted, as well! And keep in mind I combine shipping with multiple set purchases to save you on shipping! After hand painting all of my soldiers and accessories with quality acrylic paints (bright trim is done in enamel), I overcoat them with acrylic flat finish to give them a museum type finish as well as giving them a protective coat over the painted details. This highly detailed and VERY UNIQUE group would make an interesting looking display in most anyone\'s Civil War display or 54mm toy soldier collection!! And with the 150th Anniversary of this momentous event in our Nation\'s history having just concluded, a neat way to display your remembrance of the Civil War!I\'ve hand painted over 19,800 soldiers for collectors in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and even Japan in the last twelve years! My Civil War background began as a child on my first trip to Gettysburg, over 50 years ago, and I suit up in my complete Union Artillery sergeant\'s uniform to t5ach the Civil War to my late wife\'s 5th Grade class each year!
