Antique High Chair & Stroller ComboNice Victorian/Queen Anne pieceUp for sale is this antique high chair that coverts into a stroller.This listing is for a Unique Antique High Chair & Stroller Combo. This item, estimated to be from the late 1800\'s or early 1900\'s, is mostly made of oak, with steel wheels and hardware, and a cane sitting area. It looks great, with many special touches and warm wood tones.
This is a great attention getter and wonderful display for the home or special business. It stands approx. 37.5\" tall. Simply push the back handle bar down and it automatically converts into a stroller! Pull the seat back up and it switches back to a high chair. Features 6\" steel wheels in the front and 14\" steel wheels in the back, rope style oak back bars, patterned seat, and styled side bars. The table section lifts and swings behind the seat back.
Just look at all of the scrolling and carving detail and the nice spindle work.Someone put a lot of care, pride and joy into making this chair.
Condition: Overall, this item is in very good condition, especially for its age. There is a little damage to the left front leg area, but this area is solid, noloosenessand not about to fall apart. The food rest or table is in excellentoperational condition. There are a couple of yellow paint spots on the chair back (see pics). The rest of the chair/stroller is in very nice shape with minor to moderate wear. No rust on the metal parts. There is rubber on the steel wheels, I\'m not sure if this is original or added later. A very attractive piece.
As a high chair it measures just under 40\" tall. All wood construction except the 4 metal wheels,the lifting and lowering mechanism, and the cane seat. It\'s seems to be in great shape for it\'s age. The tray lifts up smoothly and converting the chair to stroller and back again works great. Aside from a little dust it\'s a beautiful piece.
