Hanna Mfg 9/14/1902- 9/2/1928. John Hanna formerly of W & L.E. Gurleymanufactured transits & levels. Thisinstrument inscribed Hanna Mfg Co, Troy, NY USA on compass face and Thistransit has an 8” telescope, 5 “standard , 4” Needle with vernier compass,5” limb with double vernier, sunshade and lens cover. Has \"472-12-8291\" inscribed on limb.All bubble vials working, focus and crosshairs good, all tangents and locks working, this is a cherry piece, just needssome exterior polish other than the dusting I gave it. Guess is mfg somewhere around 1910- 1912 . Case in tact but worn as usual for aninstrument of this age.
