Cast Metal Coffee Table Base Only (as shown)in an Italian / French Provincial Style from the Hollywood Regency Era. I believe it is by Berhardt. It is sturdy enough to support a large piece of Marble. It has a metal mount that screws into the bottom of the coffee table top surface. It originally had a round piece of wood fastened on top with a large piece of marble resting on the top of that.
We are selling the base only. This would not look good with a piece of glass directly on it as you would see the metal mount through the glass. You could put a circular piece of painted wood on top and glass over that or of course a piece of Marble.
The base measures 16 inches tall with a base diameter of 16-1/2 inches. It weighs just under 41 pounds.
It is in good vintage condition with intentional distressing.
