J.C. Deagan RoundTop Orchestra Bells Model #1119 circa 1919:
$749.00

These bells are in beautiful condition, with the original strikers and portable sheet music stand. Wood case is in excellent vintage condition, veneer chipped on one side, leather handle missing, but overall lock (no key) and latches in excellent working condition. The clean, bright bell tone is absolutely beautful. Patent plate inside case: April 29, 1919. Deagan Catalog “D” (ca. 1914) boasted that Roundtop Orchestra Bells “have the best tone of any Bell in the world, and are very much easier to play than Flat Top Bells, owing to the fact that the top being slightly convexed, the full tone of the Bell is produced whether the Bell is struck at an angle or struck squarely. Owing to the shape of the Roundtop Orchestra Bell, all counter-harmonies or overtones are entirely eliminated, and when the Bell is struck nothing but the pure fundamental tone is heard.” These bells have an incredibly bright musical tone! Purchased in Kansas City by my uncle who had a local ochestra in the early 1920\'s, they are in ready-to-play condition.
