This is a Japanesearmyofficer`ssword inmountings.The blade is signed \"Koa Isshin Mantetsu saku kore興亜一心満鉄作之\", dated \"Showa Kanoto-Mi Haru (Spring 1941) 昭和辛巳春\", serial numberカ 一〇八 stamped on top of the tang, shinogi-zukuri shape, WWll time period made blade. The blade isinfull polish,no rust, no scratchand insuper mintcondition.The temper line ischu-suguba temper pattern throughout the blade and has o-maru temper at the point. The forging grain is masame-hada and no forging flaws at all. There is no bend, no nicks, no crack and cutting edge is razor sharp. Thescabbard is metalscabbard, shows aged lacquer loss butno dent, no bendandingoodcondition. Thehandle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrappingisno loose,no cut and in good condition. It came with blue/brown company grade sword tassel, no cut, no fade and in mint condition. The seppas are matched no numper stamped.The lock mechanism works fine.
