Item listed is a Johnson 40HP Outboard Motor. The model # indicates this is a 1963 model. This is a Long Shaft (20\" transom) Electric Shift motor with Electric Start and Automatic Choke, it is set up for remote controls. I have installed all new Fuel Hose and the points/gap have been checked and adjusted, the Ignition/coils and Breaker Points have been recently replaced with OEM parts. The engine has good spark and good solid compression. This outboard starts right up cold or warm and runs as it should, it runs smoothly in all speed ranges and idles pretty good/smoothly once it\'s warmed up. It shifts into forward and reverse as it should, it is a quiet running motor at full speed. This outboard does have a 12V Generator/Charging System, the Drive Belt and Generator related components are in good shape and work well. I do have a you-tube of the amp gauge when I was test running the motor- please note I cannot rev it up to much in neutral. The system charged well on the lake at cruising speed.
Overall it\'s a nice older motor. I\'m sorry some of the pictures I took accidentally got deleted from my phone, I will try and get more up asap and will try to do more video after the holiday weekend. I have a couple videos of this running, you may have to comes with Controls, and a good wire-harness including Key Switch for Electric Start, and on/off.

There are some larger truck carriers in my area such as R&L Transfer, I have shipped motors to buyers through them some distance away and they found the rate pretty reasonable- you will get a much better price if you pick this up at their dock/terminal nearest to you rather than have them drop it off. I would be happy to take this to their terminal in my area but there will be a $35.00 fee for gas as they are 40 miles away. The Water Pump Impeller has been checked and is in good shape, The Spark Plug Wires have also been replaced. I have added some more pictures of the motor (above) showing the Compression Check (approx 110psi both) and the Generator Charging when the motor is running full speed. Please note I have properly sanded/stripped and repainted the Lower Unit and Propeller. Here are a few more youtubes I did over the weekend, you may have to copy/paste:
