THACHER\'S CALCULATING INSTRUMENT BY KEUFFEL & ESSER (K & E) In extremely nice original vintage condition as you can see in the pictures. The case shows some use and wear. Somewhere in the history of this instrument theoriginal strage box got mixed up with this case which shows a serial number of 3629. The 9 is faded you will see it with a magnifying glass. That would put the case to 1910\'s to 1920\'s. Looks like thestoragecase is Mahogany.

Thacher\'s Slide Rule was produced by Keuffel and Esser Company of New York (Model No. 4012). Some times spelled as Thatcher.This instrument is Serial Number 4806which I have been told indicates it was probably producted in the late 1920’s or early 1930\'s.

The device is in excellent vintage condition, none of the paper is loose, all of the numbers are clear and readable and appear to still be coated with the original slightly glossy protective coating some yellowing noted.
