Comes with certificate from Mark Swan violins – violin wasappraised for insurance purposes in 2013 at 1750 pounds (converts to USD approx..$2885 )
The certificate reads:
“the violin photographed below, labeled “model d’apresAntonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Anno 1721” is in my opinion a Laberteworkshop instrument made iin Mirecourt, France between 1920 and 1930. It is ingood original condition and the varnish is well preserved apart from some craquelurein the lower table. Length of back 35.8 cm, total length 58.8cm. Valued forinsurance purposes at L1750 pounds sterling as of 17 May 2013.
I have only noticed one blemish where the varnish is crackedon the upper left side (see photos).
Wonderful full tone, this is a beautiful violin!
