Large Antique Qing Chinese Brocade Panel Scholar\'s Objects Dragons AS IS. Estate find - important early Chinese brocade panel characterized by a lime green background punctuated with scholar\'s objects including ruyi sceptres, bowls of buddha\'s hand fruit, cranes, censers, etc. the top has a red border including a row of dragons. Believed to date to the 18th/19th C. Approximately 76 inches tall and 56 inches wide. The top is rolled over and sewn to create a sleeve for a hanging rod. The back is covered with a beige linen fabric (e.g. see photo #7). This panel is in \'as found\' condition which includes fading and mild staining, seam separations, loose threads, and multiple areas of tearing -- I have attempted to show some of the most significant tears in photos #7-12 (please examine the photos carefully). The photos of tears focus mostly on the upper red portion because photos are limited and this is the most impacted area. However, the lime green area also has tears (e.g., see center of photo #3).
